Manual Lymphatic Drainage
What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)?
Despite the industrial sounding name, it’s actually a unique and gentle type of skin massage. It promotes the natural drainage of the lymph nodes, which carries waste products away from body tissue.
What conditions does MLD treat?
It’s used to treat lymphoedema and lipoedema as it removes fluid from swollen areas of the body, usually caused by cancer treatment.
Who would benefit from MLD?
MLD is particularly helpful for those suffering from swelling of the face, neck, upper arm, thigh, breast or trunk.
